Indigenous Herbalogy: This course delves into the rich heritage of Indigenous plant-based medicine, exploring the vast array of herbs used traditionally by Indigenous peoples for healing, wellness, and spiritual purposes. Students will learn to identify various herbs, understand their medicinal properties, and discover traditional preparation and usage methods. This class not only teaches practical herbalogy skills but also deepens respect for Indigenous ecological knowledge and practices.
Holistic Health and Wellness: Focused on the Indigenous perspective of health, this course emphasizes the interconnectedness of physical, mental, spiritual, and environmental well-being. Students will explore various traditional practices such as meditation, physical activity, nutritional habits, and ceremonial rites, all aimed at fostering balance and health. Midwifery: This program is designed to train students in the art and science of midwifery as practiced by Indigenous cultures.
